41 miles and two sessions in the gym last wek. Tapering now for the next two weeks. 13 miles on Saturday was a bit of a struggle because of a bad head cold --so I'm concentrating on getting rid of the cold -- a couple of rest days at this stage won't do any harm -- no amount of extra running will prepare me any better for the marathon at this stage. If I'm not ready now, it's too late. I'll try a gentle jog on Wednesday and hope to be fit for the easy ten miles or so on Saturday. Pinched the Loch Ness Marathon banner -- it's a great picture idea. PS Getting cold feet over my planned pace -- 8 minute miles for 26.2 miles is beginning to seem a tall order. Must get my head straight for race day !!!

40+ Miles
