Disappointing 45.38 at the Jack Crawford today. It's a tough race. It starts in a little housing estate and quickly goes on to the canal path. As usual there was a fair bit of congestion at the start. Conditions were pretty wet and muddy underfoot -- indeed I almost lost my shoe at one point. Still first 10k of the season -- I've usually got half a dozen races under my belt by now -- and difficult conditions, things can only get better. Ran in to my old chum Ian Goudie -- good to catch up. He sent me the picture. It was shot by Kenny Philips from Stewarton.
