Ran this unusual distance on Sunday with Anne and Marina. Marina and her fellow Clydesdale Harrier, Kath, ran to the start from Clydebank -- a distance of around 14 miles. Kath did another 4 on her own and Marina ran the race -- yes we are insane. Anne won a £15 prize for being first female vet in a time of around 54.46. I managed a creditable 1 hour 1 minute and 28 seconds. Had hoped to crack the hour, but still suffering badly with the after effects of a nasty virus attack. I plan to take two full weeks off running to try and get fully fit for the Trimpell 20 at the end of March. The course was a killer -- winding country roads and hill after hill, but it was a great fun event and the weather was just perfect -- if a little cold. Nice to meet Dougie from Bellahouston Road Runners who finished in just over 58 minutes. Please note all times are approximate they will be updated when the official times are published.
