Hugh Wilson Memorial 10k
Marina and Norman took part in this real runners event for the second year running. No fuss, no frills, inexpensive to enter -- it's what running is all about !!! 170 or so people gathered in East Kilbride on a rather cold day. The route was slightly changed because the running track at the John Wright Centre was closed. Norman was happy with 42.51, again just over 7 minute miles -- the New Year resolution is to get to just under 7 minute miles !! The Alf Tupper Award of the day and indeed for the year goes to Marina for a magnificent 44.52. Coming back from significant injury sustained in a charity triathlon which prevented her taking part in the Amsterdam Marathon -- although she did do the 10k -- it was a significant achievement.
PS Congrats to our friend Blair Millen, from Westerlands who ran a 40.05
