Even Better News

Had a chat with a Level 4 coach who visited the club last night about the number of falls I have had over the years. He kept a special eye on me and agreed with Don my osteopath's diagnosis, that because of my body shape my centre of gravity is slightly forward. I also have a tendency to look down at my feet. He suggested a number of exercises to strengthen my hips and make them more flexible . They will give me a better chance of recovery if I stumble. He also ran a really great session on running technique -- the guy really knew his stuff. Happy bunny today.

Do you want the Good News or the Good News

Well the good news is I ran six miles SLOW with Louise and Jackie yesterday morning and all was well. It was not too painful in the ribs. The better news is that Don my osteopath tells me nothing is broken -- just very heavy bruising down the arm and side. He gave me laser treatment and I feel much better. Ran another five miles over trails with the club at night -- a little more difficult as the pace was faster -- but no damage done. Next race Vale of Leven in mid June -- although if my recovery proceeds apace I may be tempted by the Milngavie Highland Games 10k a week earlier
