
New personal worst time for 5k of 24.37 at the Glasgow Park Run this morning -- but I'm highly delighted -- first proper run in weeks and the calf tear finally seems to be healed. Jogged round in a nice easy 8 minute mile pace -- the pressure was really off. I even had the opportunity to stop and check that my big mate Graham was ok after he took a tumble. I've wanted to give this race my support for some time -- but it has never fitted in with my training plan -- now's my chance -- more of the same next week please. After advice from Brendan a clubmate who has just completed the Trans-Alpine Race I invested in a set of calf guards -- the look a little odd but they really support the muscles -- I'm sure they made a difference.
