Better late than never. A bad chest infection -- requiring antibiotics and steroids, for lung inflammation, has slowed me down a little this Christmas so my end of term report is a little delayed. The mileage chart from Daily Mile makes interesting reading -- it is not totally accurate and doesn't reflect my other workouts but it is nevertheless illuminating. Looking back at the year some solid achievements and some big disappointments -- injury in July preventing me running the Inverness Marathon -- being the biggest. Also couldn't hold on to my supervet trophy -- too many fit young men now in the category !!! On the plus side a first and second place in my age category, a new PB at 10 miles -- three very solid Polaroid results and a good Edinburgh Half marathon redressed the balance. No great improvement in my cross country performance -- still painfully slow -- perhaps time to hang up the spikes and stick to the roads. A bit too much illness at the end of the year for my liking -- but that's down to the asthma according to the doc-- any nasty viruses going about and I get them. Overall a very good year and not much to complain about. Must improve my donut count though :-)
