Slightly disappointing 44.15 at the third in the Polaroid Series of 10Ks -- Dumbarton. Felt I was running reasonably ok -- but as my Garmin lost the signal in the trees when we were running the paths I don't have accurate splits. The heat was a problem for most runners -- many of us had slower times. It was also very congested in parts. I was overheating pretty badly on the last kilometre, despite taking on plenty of water before and during the race and was just glad to get it over with. On balance the dodgy legs held up wonderfully well and a couple of friends pulled up with injuries --so I have nowt to complain about.
