Back to Fitness

Three miles on the treadmill today -- easy 10 minute mile pace. 3 minute warm-up, paused to stretch every 10 minutes, then 3 minute cooldown followed by stretches and calf strengthening exercises -- nice to get some miles on the scoresheet -- first run in over three weeks since the recurrence of my calf strain. Been to the podiatrist who gave me some temporary orthotics -- another appointment in six weeks -- could take some time to fix the problem but the process has started. There is not going to be one magic bulllet -- a combination of stretches, strengthening exercise and perhaps orthotics may be needed. In the meantime I've adjusted my diet and dropped 7lbs in weight -- carrying a little less round with me has got to help the legs :-)

I thought that was going to be a blog about the Crieff 10k, sorry to hear that you've still got injury problems. I'm sure you'll come back even stronger and leaner!
