Good hard training run with the chaps on Monday night, just under 8 miles at well under 8 minutes a mile. For the first time since getting back to the club after my lay-off I managed to keep up with the front runners of my normal group -- no dropping back for me from now on. Having said that I lagged a little on the hilly part of our informal New Year training run this morning -- just over 10 miles at between 8.00 and 8.30 a mile. May do the Nigel Barge on Saturday though a longer training run would suit me better. PS Using the Garmin 50 which I picked up for a song so the mileage may be a little approximate as it is not a GPS unit. Small, light and very simple, it seems to work well -- a couple of little problems to sort out before I am fully satisfied -- but at the moment it seems to do the job. PPS my offcial time for Cambuslang was rounded up to 45.08
