A new PB by 12" at the Renfrewshire AAA 5 mile road race at Battery Park, Geeenock, today. 33.40 on my watch.( Official result on the Bella website seems to be 33.43 -- never was any good with watches). I was having trouble with the buttons on my New Garmin 50 it has to be said. Ian, Tom and I finished within roughly 10" of one another -- in that order. Very pleased with my result as I had been training specifically to peak at that distance and at that race -- seems to have worked. Next target sub-42 at Grangemouth Round the Houses. Weather, as you can see from the photo was perfect There was a little wind to contend with but not too bad. I think quite a few people did well.

I think you'll find that I beat you by 12" ....... well done to you, Tom and me though ... we all had to take loads off of our PBs to stay in contention with each other. Do you really think you can get a sub 42 min 10k ?
Never was any good with watches Ian, still a 12" improvement on my PB will do me nicely thank you. a 42' 10k is a target that has eluded me for a while now -- I got within 17" of it at Grangemouth last year so I'm going to have a go.
