Good, strong, consistent run at Clydebank last night -- a bit slower than last week at 42.36. I was a bit worried that it was a race too far after racing the Helensburgh 10k last Thursday and the Edinburgh Half on Sunday -- but I was ok. Started a little too fast. I felt the pace was a little too quick but I was confused as I'm sure we reached the the first k marker early. The first mile was nearer 6.30 than was comfortable. Settled in after that to a steady 6.50ish -- but didn't have enough left in the legs to pick up over the last two k -- the group I was with left me behind and I ended up a good 20" behind them -- still very happy with the performance -- great runs by my mates Emma and Karlyn. Thanks to all along the route for support especially Ian (David Bailey) Goudie and coaching supremo Oscar Wild. Thanks to Danielle Glendinning for the great pic.
