Dumbarton 10k
Another good strong run at Dumbarton last night. At 43.02 the slowest of the three Polaroids this year. Set off well with a target of around 4.10 a kilometer allowing a sub 42 with a bit of margin for error. Analysis of the Garmin afterwards shows me pretty well on target for the first three miles -- then an unaccountable dip to 4.27. Back on target for a mile then a dip to 4.29. Picked up for the last two hundred metres at sub 4.00 pace. A number of factors in play I suspect -- the very warm humid conditions meant most people's times were down. The race was also very congested at some parts. So the 10k PB still eludes me.
