Glasgow Men's 10k

Supremely enjoyable run this morning at the Men's Health 10k in Glasgow. Scorching hot day meant it was not a PB run for most of us. Going well until 5k -- bang on target at around 21.05 when I got a horrendous stitch -- really painful and I had to slow right down -- thankfully I managed to clear it by a combination of stretching and breathing and was back on the pace by 6k but it must have cost me a minute. Great sprint finish at the end and a name check from Bryan Burnett, who did his usual fantastic job as compere. Loved the aerobic warm-up and the march up to the start behind the piper -- well done to all the marshalls including Oscar, Jane and Tonia who led us to the start. Great support from Bellas all round the course too many to mention -- apart from Jane Galt -- the loudest cheerleader on the day -- even managed to hi-5 her on the way past. Bit of bad luck about the stitch as I was comfortably in control of the race until that happened -- but hey this event is about much more than a good time (watch time I mean). Oh btw I was around 43.49.
