Delighted with a time of 43.33 for this -- the first of the Polaroid series. It's my first real serious race this year and only a minute behind my best time for last year -- so a good beginning. Made the classic mistake of starting just a little too fast -- my excuse is that I was running with the clubmates from my group -- but it became clear by the second kilometre that I was ahead of my target pace so I reined myself in a little and let them go -- and indeed Emma ran a sub 42 with Karlyn not far behind her. Splits 6.37: 659: 7.08: 6.52: 6.57: 7.11: 1.46. There's no catching these girls now !!!
