Parkrun-tastic

Yet another Parkrun this morning as part of my 10--11 mile long run Not sure of the exact distance as the Garmin 50 needs calibrated again -- great little system but a bit inaccurate. Completed the race in 22.09 --just 12" outside my PB for that course and almost 30" faster than last time -- as part of a group let by felow Bella Louise Gray -- whose running has come on in leaps and bounds. Followed Ian Goudie to the line. Overtook him in the last mile, but that only spurred him on to find a burst of accelleration, overtake me, and build up a few seconds of lead. He's made a mistake, I thought, that effort will have cost him dear -- I'll reel him in before the finish. But fair play to the big man he held on and I finished just behind him. A litle surprised by my performance as I did not feel I was firing on all cylinders The encouraging thing is that I seem at last to be finding some form after months of niggling injuries and ilnesses.
