Helensburgh Half Marathon

Out to support my Bella team mates at

Helensburgh.  Had hoped to run but the hamstring -pull ruled that out.  A good week last week, 3 miles on the treadmill, two five mile runs on the road and an 8 on Saturday -- all easy pace.  Could have done the distance at Helensburgh but it would have been an unsatisfactory time with a real chance of aggravating the hamstring and setting back my recovery -- an uncharacteristic outbreak of common sense on my part to stay on the sidelines and take some pictures.  Next target the Bella 5k in a couple of weeks then the Moray Half in Elgin.  The race itself won won by a female runner -- the great Hailey Haining.  Bella had some outstanding performances, Greig Glendinning first male, 2nd overall, and we also took third place and the first and second male team awards.
