Helensburgh Half Marathon

Sunny and hot for this Bella Championship event -- a big turnout of purple vests.  Ran it in 1.46.25 a good couple of minutes faster than Girvan -- thought I could have done a little better than that and was indeed on my way to a sub 1.45 when I developed the mother of all blisters -- with the best will in the world that slowed me down for the last couple of miles.  Reasonably content although I have to say I've lost a fair bit of pace since3 my nasty injury which pulled me out of the Moray half last September.
PS That is a horrible foot -- need a visit to the chiropodist as well as new socks :-)
