Paisley 10k

A fresh experience for me today -- the Paisley 10k -- much changed from the old days when it was run from a lovely community park off the main drag. New sponsor, city centre start and also unfortunately a little expensive at £13 to register on the day. Still a great run. I started well, but within a couple of kilometres my legs started to tire -- the result of a hard 7 mile run on Thursday with the fast group from Achilles Heel -- the Saturday morning bodypump class probably didn't help either. I must learn to be sensible :) Fell in with Aileen from the Clydesdale Harriers along the way -- she was running at the perfect pace for me and we were more or less side by side to the finish-- a respectable 44.30 ish -- glad to leave behind the 48 minute 10ks.
