Good Day at Greenock

Smashed my 5-mile PB by over one minute twenty at Battery Park Greenock at the Renfrewshire AAA County Road Race Championships on Saturday. New PB of 33.55. Cold standing about, but a perfect day for running the fast flat course. Started a little too fast, reined in in on mile two to a steady 7 minute mile pace, felt I was falling behind a little and ran a fast third mile. Maintained 7 minute mile pace over the last two. Thanks to Caroline Guy from Glenpark for really pulling me out. We got into a bit of a battle over the last couple of miles. I left her behind as we hit the park for the final lap, She almost caught me at the line but I held her off and finished two seconds ahead.
