East Kilbride 10k

Solid if uninspiring 43.14 at the East Kilbride 10k on Sunday. Tried for 42.00 minutes but didn't quite have the stamina to make it. Passed the 5k mark at 20.30ish -- still on target at 8k but ran out of steam in the last two. The Garmin shows the decline quite clearly. Perhaps I'm setting my targets too high. That's now two attempts at 42.00 -- EK and Grangemouth -- both resulted in roughly the same time 43.13 and 43.14. I need to accept 43.00 as my new 10k time and build on that -- next thing to do is find the right race and go for 42.30 -- one can but try !!! On a much more positive note, new PBs for two chums. Kath from Clydesdale Harriers with a sub 1.37 and Tariq from the Achillies Heel Harriers with around 1.41...Well done both !!!
