Glasgow Half

Solid if uninspiring 1.37.49 in the Glasgow Half Marathon yesterday. Was in two minds whether to race it or just treat it as a fast training run. The training run idea won out after six miles when my legs began to tire. I made the conscious decision to slow for a couple of miles and pick up the pace later. I had just completed my 22 mile marathon training run the previous Sunday and with the race itself happening in three weeks -- I wanted to take no risks. Once I stopped racing I actually enjoyed the run -- great vocal support all along the route from my Bellahouston Roadrunner clubmates. Thanks to Claire Thomson for the pic.
